Gorgeous color, really pretty stitches.

I needed a towel for a special ocean vacation this summer and I knew I wanted one that featured a sun and stars. This pretty towel was just what I was looking for and when it arrived I was very pleased. It’s thick and has lots of detailed embroidery-style stitching around the borders. It feels like it’s even softer now that I’ve washed it too. I can’t wait to show it off at the beach – it even matches the blue in my swimsuit.

it’s more ornamental than functional

This towel does not have that luxurious, fluffy “oomph” or water takeup “thirst” that a truly nice towel has. It IS very pretty. Fortunately I bought it for it’s design to hang on our back deck as an occasional sunblock so – for my purposes – I’m not disappointed. I’m going to give it 3 stars. It ought to be 3.5 stars really but I can’t make the rating scale do that as an end user.

Pretty? Yes. Plush? No.

This towel has a couple of things going for it: size & design. The size is huge (which is great for the pool or beach). The design is beautiful – rich looking design & colors (hoping the colors remain rich looking after the first wash!)… What it lacks is thickness. It’s not a very plush towel – which is a real shame. I was hoping for more (especially when it’s title states “Luxury…” – which it is not…)

If I’d paid the full price ($79)? I would have already returned this, asking for my money back. Even at the discounted $24, I’m sort of questioning if it was really worth it… I guess maybe it was – for the design itself. Still… ultimately disappointing.
